They are only small for a short time. The first few days of a child’s life are rare and should be treasured. There will be many photos of your child as they grow and change but there is only a short window when your newborn will be able to pose with their newborn demeanor in those adorable curly poses (like they are in the womb). When should you schedule your new born photos? It is suggested that newborn photos be taken between five and twelve days after giving birth. When babies are born their skin is a dark red to purple color as the circulation system is new at supply oxygen to the babies’ bodies. After four or five days the skin, hands and feet should be the babies natural color. You can still take newborn photos after twelve days but it will be more difficult to get the curled-up look as your baby will begin to stretch and extend their arms and legs.
